This operational unit is responsible for the overall development of public administration information management, e-Government and corporate data, for information management governance in central government and for the coordination of joint development projects. Public sector ICT promotes information management cooperation between central and local government, formulates joint functional and technical solutions and methods and is in charge of overall development of information security in public administration as well as data security governance in central government.
The Government IT Shared Service Centre is responsible for the service production in accordance to the strategy. The Government IT Shared Service Centre is a part of State Treasury and it is directed by the Public Sector ICT.
The Ministry of Finance will draw up a Public Sector ICT Strategy for the implementation of the Government’s ICT alignments. The Public Sector ICT Strategy project aims to create the first ICT strategy for both central government and local government administrations. The forthcoming strategy makes the Government’s ICT alignments concrete and includes an implementation plan.
Action Programme on eServices and eDemocracy
The Ministry of Finance’s Action Programme on eServices and eDemocracy (SADe) develops comprehensive services for citizens, companies and the authorities. These customer-focused and interoperable services enhance quality and cost-efficiency in the public sector.
