Gender equality

State as a good employer ensures that all of its personnel get treated equally. Gender equality plays a role in all actions taken by the employer. The Office for the Government as Employer takes part in different projects, working groups and international co-operation dealing with equality issues. The Office for the Government as Employer is also the official who informs and advices state’s operation units in matters dealing with equality issues. These operational units function as independent employers and make sure that the legislation concerning equality is adhered to.

The new regulations of equality legislation came into force 1.6.2006. For employer the greatest change deals with equality plan that now has a minimum content requirement.
