Labour protection

The main purpose in labour protection is to ensure and promote employees’ health, safety and ability to work and to prevent workplace injuries and occupational diseases. Key areas of development involve finding ways to avoid work-related musculoskeletal diseases and to foster mental and physical wellbeing at work. In Finland, the concept of labour protection is based on the notion of a good work environment, covering not only health and safety at work but also terms and conditions related to employment relations as well as mental welfare.
