Working group for the project on the selection and systemisation of the archive collections of regional authorities

Summary

This publication provides proposed models on how to organise, manage and implement the project on the selection and systemisation of archive collections in the organisations that preceded the Regional State Administrative Agencies and Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment. The publication also includes a proposed cost estimate and financing model for the project.

The project group?s purpose was to create an operating model that makes it possible for the new regional administrative authorities to swiftly relinquish responsibility for preserving documentation records that have not been selected and systematised, as facilitated by the resolution issued by the National Archives in March 2009. The aim is to transfer records to the National Archives that are meant to be preserved permanently and are in such a condition that they can be transferred.

The proposed organisation project aims to encourage regional authorities to adopt the use of e-administration more widely and to make it easier for regional authorities to discard the use of archives in paper form.
